BiographyName: Wade Williams How it all Started: I got my first electric guitar when I was 12 when my Dad got a vendor at a flea market throw in a non-brand guitar in with a purchase. The strings were a mile off the neck but I loved it because I could plug it into an old fender and that I turned up all the way that would make the speaker distort. Then Kiss Alive ruined my life! That led to hours and hours of annoying my Mom and Dad with loud guitars. Equipment: 2-Jackson Soloists SL-1, Furman PL-1, Rocktron Piranah Pre-amp, T.C. Electronics G-Force, Marshall Valvestate Power Amp, 2-Marshall 1936 2x12 Cabinets, Morley Bad Horsey Wah, Rocktron Total Control pedal board, Boss AC-2 Acoustic Simulator. Musical Influences: Steve Vai, Dream Theater, Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen, Michael Sheinker, Frank Zappa, Voivod, Rush, Frank Gambale, Eric Johnson, Michael Angelo Betio, John Patrucci, Professional Experience: My band Caveat Emptor opened for Jim Dandy and Black Oak Arkansas in Burlington, IA. We also had the privilege of playing with Gregg Allman while playing one of our shows in Rock Island, IL. Gregg was on tour with Stevie Ray Vaughn and showed up at the venue we we're playing at after he finished his show. Stevie Ray Vaughn had just cleaned himself up so unfortunately I wasn't presented the opportunity to play on the same stage with him. The first show I did with the 5 O'Clock Traffic Jam, we played the opening spot for a sold-out Brother Cane show at the Madison Theater in Peoria, IL. We also opened for Cry of Love. That was an outdoor show by the Illinois River for 3600 people. The highlight of that show for me, was when Robert Mason (Cry of Love, Lynch Mob) took the stage with us to do a cover of The Stones - Honky Tonk Woman. We also open for the band Bloodline at the Madison Theater. Previous Projects: Maxx, Threshold, Attakk, Dark Crystal, Caveat Emptor, Salem, Plan B, Sick, The 5 O'clock Traffic Jam Hobbies and Interests: Writing original music, creating artwork, writing, watching horror movies, computers, Xbox, and reading. Special Thanks: My Mom, my late Dad, Janet, and my son Corey, 34 West Records, Aaron Duke, Keith Greene and anyone who I have ever played or jammed with.
